CARLTON POWER SUBMITS THREE GREEN HYDROGEN BIDS FOR UK GOVERNMENT SUPPORT

Carlton Power has submitted three bids to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Hydrogen Business Model and Net Zero Hydrogen Fund.  Its proposed green hydrogen projects – at Barrow-in-Furness (Cumbria), Trafford (Greater Manchester) and Langage (Devon) will deliver hydrogen to local industries by 2025, help deliver the UK Government’s hydrogen ambitions, and accelerate the UK’s efforts to decarbonise and increase investment and economic growth in these regions.

Eric Adams, Hydrogen Projects  Director at Carlton Power said: “As BEIS considers our bids over the next three months, work will continue on these three projects.  We are also working on a second wave of similar developments in preparation for the next funding round.  We will continue to engage with the supply chain, local and national stakeholders and our committed offtakers so that we can quickly move towards construction and operation. We have got this far thanks to a host of different people, companies and organisations; their support to date and in the future is greatly appreciated.”
