Carlton green hydrogen projects shortlisted by UK Government for financial support
Carlton Power has had two projects shortlisted for financial support by the Department of Energy Security & Net Zero - at Walsall in the West Midlands and at Hartlebury in Worcestershire – through the Government’s Hydrogen Allocation Round 2.
Eric Adams, Carlton Power’s Hydrogen Director, said: “We are very pleased that two of our HAR2 green hydrogen projects have been shortlisted by DESNZ but disappointed that four were not, given their location, our business partners and the strong local stakeholder support that we had for each. We will work with DESNZ to reach financial agreements at the earliest opportunity for our shortlisted projects to enter operation over the next 3-to-4 years, whilst continuing our work with the UK Government to finalise the contracts for our HAR1 green hydrogen projects at Barrow-in-Furness, Langage near Plymouth and at Trafford in Greater Manchester.”
