HYDROGEN PROJECTS UPDATE

We are pleased to announce that we have signed contracts with the UK Government’s Low Carbon Contracts Company for our first phase of green hydrogen projects – at Barrow-in Furness in Cumbria, Langage in Devon and Trafford in Greater Manchester.

These projects will receive long-term financial support through the Government’s Hydrogen Allocation Round 1. The contracts and the offtaker agreements for each scheme are key milestones for Carlton Power and our investment partner, Schroders Greencoat LLP, to work towards Final Investment Decisions for each. 

Coinciding with the Government’s announcement on the issue of HAR1 contracts, Jobs unlocked as first wave of hydrogen projects sign contracts - GOV.UK , Kimberly-Clark - the international manufacturer of consumer products including Andrex® and Kleenex®, announced its hydrogen supply agreement with Carlton.  The agreement will see us supplying green hydrogen to its manufacturing facility at Barrow-in Furness.
